Duedman -> NM loss not applying correctly? (1/26/2022 11:03:48 AM)

Hello again :)

I am currently running a Multiplayer lets play as Axis.
When I captured Paris, the French Government fled to Bordeaux. France had 800 NM left.
So I thought I'd sink a Battleship and a Destroyer. It showed me: 700 and 175 NM loss for the French.

So they should drop to zero and surrender.
But very much to my surprise they still had well over 200 NM left.
Can some1 explain that to me?

I could also provide a youtube link where I hover over the NM before and after sinking the 2 ships.

So I think what's happening is that the NM loss is exactly equal to the MPP value of the units. That's 350 for battleship and 175 for destroyer, assuming no upgrades (and if they're French they probably don't have upgrades).

By contrast the number that appears on the in-game message is the NM gain you experience for sinking them. Which is 200% of the MPP value for the battleship (and other 'capital ships') and 100% for the destroyer.

Now that would be a perfect explanation thanks!
This game never ceases to surprise me.
