stevemk1a -> An embarassment of riches ... (9/17/2003 11:53:54 AM)

Favorite scenario is a tough call ... so many good ones. As Jess mentioned, the Stalingrad campaign is a masterpiece. A lot has to do with the individual players interests, and personal experiences. With this in mind I remember having a good time with the monster scenarios "Steel Shield", "Lehr at Omaha", and "SST North of the Psel" but I could never play them now, because they are too huge. For mid-sized scenarios I like "Task Force Wilder", "Maus that Roared", and so many others I can't remember right now... My personal best in a scenario (and I have this one enshrined in a saved slot) is "Suburbs of Leningrad" where I won without losing even one man! My worst, despite trying at it from the Russian side four times is "Royal Opponent" ... I just can't do well in that one! :( One of my earliest Spwaw experiences was getting killed right down to the last man in Wild Bill's Ramelle scenario ... I got hooked on the game after that, I guess I'm a masochist :D :D :D

... P.S. please update "Luck and the Last Teutonic Knight" it's a classic too!

[QUOTE=M4 Jess]The Stalingrad Camp is the best..It has it all! And the NO-ONE holds a candle to those maps...

M4, whenever this post comes up, I have to put in a plug for your "Schoolhouse" scenario. For those who have not played it, the battle focuses on taking an urban crossroad during the battle of Kursk. It has a great balance of tanks and infantry in an urban setting and the location of the VHs makes you keep pushing the Russians back. One of my most enjoyable battles!
