My friend and I are playing our first game and it is June 21 1942. For the last two turns the American production screen has displayed 20 oil in the left column and 11 for upkeep yet the stockpile has remained at zero. Shouldn't the stockpile be growing by 9 per turn? I realize that American oil increases in July but the numbers so far are not adding up.

In regards to engineers building airfields or upgrading the size of ports, how is this done? I don't see anything that you can click on?

Thanks.

Airfields are made in production under the support tab.

For upgrading a port, the engineer has to be in a port hex that is eligible for upgrade. You can see these in the supply map overlay, and they are indicated by an anchor with a plus sign. From memory, Espiritu Santo is an example. There is a % chance at the beginning of each turn of the port going up a level. It maxes at level 5 I think. (There might be a bug at the moment though, as I think I went up two port levels in one turn. Good bug!)

There is a bug, which Al has fixed for the upcoming update, in which the port size increase check is made each time that a saved game is loaded. This can trigger multiple increases in a turn. Max increase is to size 5.

Moving oil-dependent units and attacking with air units drops your oil stockpile during the turn.

Leaving fleets at sea cost a lot of oil also.

canuckgamer -> RE: Questions (2/9/2022 12:30:48 AM)

The Americans have no naval units at sea, they are all in ports. I checked the combat log of the current turn and the last turn to see if any American planes had done any interceptions or interdictions but there was none. There also wasn't any air combat. Regardless, really strange that the USA is still at zero stockpile for oil even though they have produced a total of 40 oil the last two turns while spending 22 for upkeep. I will be interested in seeing if the numbers add up when American oil production increases in July 42.

I have played a few games vs A.I. for testing and Hadros. No issues with US oil. Maybe you are sending too many to another nation.
