The database provides damage points and missile defense to estimate the damage that a unit can take. So, what is the difference between damage points and missile defense? Please correct me if I am misinterpreting the database.

Damage points are hit points (resistance). Missile defense points are what the AI uses to determine how many weapons are needed to defend or destroy a target (logic).

Thank you! So, how do I figure out what weapons allocation to make when the damage points are equal to 0, and the missile defense is four harpoons?

I would think about it like this.

Only one hit needs to occur to destroy the target but 5 harpoons might be needed to score the 1 hit. Make sense?

Thank you! Now I get it. Wow, this has just opened a myriad of ideas! I can see where OECM can be extremely useful.
