CaesarAug -> German declaration of war on the West trigger? (2/17/2022 8:38:28 AM)

Having made extensive changes to a modded 1939 World at War scenario, in my testing, Germany declares war on the Low Countries and Luxembourg in December 1939 or January 1940, fairly consistently.

I have not changed any decision or belligerence scripts to encourage such an early declaration of war.

The only thing that may be somewhat off (and thus not compensated for) is that in this mod, turns are 7-days alternate throughout the entire year, with MPP normalisation set to 14 days, and double production times.

Question: with respect to the timing of the German declaration of war on the West, and invasion thereof, what script(s) include the trigger parameters that should be adjusted for alternate 7-day turns?

Thanks for any help!

I would take a look at the Axis AI OFFENSIVE events for the attacks on those countries and increase the #BUILD_UP_LENGTH= values accordingly to match the extra turns you now have by going to 7 day turns.

I believe that would be all you need to adjust here for those countries, but there might be more later on that are also time specific to the default turn lengths that you might need to adjust as well.

I see, thank you, Hubert. I had not looked in that script. Doubling the number of turns makes sense if it's turn-sensitive time specific.

The issue though is getting it right for all such entries. I'll have to decide if it's worth going 7-day turns, since other parameters with 14-day turns probably abound in all scripts.

Well, either way, more editing is in store for me before play-testing a game again... [:D]
