Hopefully you guys can tell me 'IF' the Allied player can still retreat all
resources to Cebu at the outbreak of war, and dig in for the rest of the game?
Because you CAN do that in PacWar. Given enough time in PacWar it
will win the war for you all by itself.

Units under certain HQ's will not be able to simply transfer to other bases (or load onto transports) controlled by other HQ's without first changing their HQ to to match that of the HQ whose area they wish to go too. To do this will cost PP's of which there are only so many.

This will prevent a player from mass evacuating all his front line assets right from the get go creating unrealistic situations.

Hi, Chiteng there are many differences between PacWar and WITP.

One area where they will remain the same is that the human player can always over time learn how to exploit the AI weakness. In PBEM games however things
can not be compared. The shear number of bases. Daily turns what not.
Cebu is a really bad place for the allies in WITP (A Japanese Bde will be there before any allied units can relocate, in fact the whole SRA becomes a dangerous place for transports from both sides)

In PacWar I used to often dig in on Timor and the Japanese AI could never throw me out. I'm not saying the Allies cannot hold places that were lost historically (I don't know this one way or the other yet because we are still in Alpha testing) Only that combat and supply are not the same as in PacWar.
And the time scale changes produce a new type of play.

No, well actually theorectically yes but if you are playing against the AI you won't have the time. As it stands in the current version of the Alpha the land and air forces in the phillipines start off assigned to the USAFFE HQ. in order to load one of these land units on a transport you must change it's HQ assignment and you don't have the political points to do it that early in the game. You should be able to evac the air units about a squadron a day but the balance of power is very heavily in favor of the Japanese.
