Ballan -> Major bug re appearance(PaulV+WildBill please read) (7/28/2001 4:52:00 AM)

I just got the maga campaign disc, played it non stop and noticed the re appearance of an old bug. I like starting say June 41 to the end of the war and running two campaigns month by month say as German and Russian to see who does better each month through the war. BUT the 5.3 and the latest 6.1 has that bug again that totals the total casualities received and inflicted from all campaigns played since the game itself has been installed. So if I played the first battle in June 41as the Germans and saved, then started a new campaign as Russians from the first date of June 41, finished the battle the results screen would show the casualities from that battle added to the previous German core foce battle etc. Do I have to only play one campaign at a time then uninstall and re install, or is there another easier way , or perhaps another patch. I remember this bug was in an earlier version of SPWAW and was fixed. Any ideas Paul V. or Wild Bill ? Bye the way great game apart from this annoying bug

Are you playing one campaign behind the other, Ballan, or do you exit the campaign generator? That might solve the problem. Play a campaign. Leave the generator, perhaps even close the game. Open it again. I would hope that would solve it. I rarely if ever play a generated battle or campaign so cannot speak with authority on this aspect. Perhaps Paul will come to all our rescue here. Wild Bill

Ive tried both leaving the game, re booting and starting a new campaign etc. I do remember that this problem happened in an earlier version and it was fixed with a patch.

Ballan: If by 'rebooting' you're referring to the pc itself, that's what I was going to suggest (but exit SPWAW first, if that matters). I know that rebooting has solved that similar problem with some other games I've had.
