junk2drive -> WAV Files (10/13/2003 10:21:11 AM)

Id like to have the sound file of passing fighter planes for my windows events.
When on main screen of Matrixgames if the ad banner has Uncommon Valour, the planes go by and you get the sound I want. Any way to get it as a wav?

Do you have uncommon valor? There are all the sounds files from that in it's directory for you to assign to all sorts of uses. Provided the designers and publishers don't object that is ;) I'm not sure if the exact sound file you are looking for is there, Marc? you did the banner right?

It depends on the source file type. If it is a mpeg (mp3) file, a number of free programs (like cdex) can convert it into a wav. Once you have a wav file, you can edit with a free wav editor (like acid wave), cut n paste the portion you want to play into a file which you associate with the event.

Where to find the sw:
cdex - http://www.cdex.n3.net/
acid wave - http://www.polyhedric.com/software/ace/download.html
additional: http://www.mp3-to-wav.net/
