You speak the truth. I really hate it when a good game falls victim to a bad UI. I fear that Deus Ex 2 will be like that. The interface for it is going to be a "lite" version of the original interface, from what I've heard. The reason, of course, being that they want the game to be easier to play on consoles. I miss the System Shock 1 interface.
