Marshall Ellis -> November Update (The real one!) (11/7/2003 5:45:08 AM)

Hello all:

LOL!!!!!!!!!

I love it!!!! MarshaII ... I actually almost fell for it myself!
And BTW: It actually is a little chilly ... Thank you very much :-)

My apologies ... we've been a bit busy and needless to say ... this has caused us a small delay in getting back to you guys!

To the good stuff:

We're still testing and fixing and retesting and fixing. This is not the most glamorous phase of development but certainly one of the most important steps in the development process. The UI (That really is UI, MarshaII and not UL) needs some tweaking. the testors have made some great suggestions abou the UI and we're currently looking to make those changes (i.e. Right click always deselects a unit or brings up a display of the stack, etc.). We have also changed the diplomacy phase to execute simultaneously as well as add a diplomacy reaction phase that allows players to pull out of multiple DOWs on minors (Just as classic EIA). Our original diplomacy was executed in order which obviously gave France too much of an edge.

Again, my compliments to the testors because thay are really finding some good bugs and adding some good ideas. Having their objective insight has been great for me since I'm too close to the program some times too see the whole thing!

Thank you all again for your patience. I know it's tough ... BELIEVE ME ... I know!

And now for the answer to the biggest question:

No, I cannot say when we'll release it only that every day brings us closer!

Thank you
