worr -> Attacking Aircraft on the field (11/10/2003 11:41:55 AM)

Fighters don't drop down and strafe fields, right?

I have set my bombers to 100 feet to bomb airfields and have gotten terrific results (with major ack damage) against planes sitting on the field. And maybe this is to simulate parafrag bombs. By why no impact from fighters on planes on the field?

Worr, out

The fighters must be set to sweep at 100 feet to strafe the airfield.

Some Bomber types had a decent Fixed forward firing gun package as well, like B25's for example, some of them had 4 50cal's that were fixed and aimed by the piolet, which greatly inhances their strafing abailitys.

The B25J is my aircraft of choice to prepare an enemy base for invasion...i usually set them to 100 feet and they´re making a slaughterhouse of the enemy troops.

Yesterday in my current game i had an attack from Port Moresby at Lae with 95 B25J and they killed 1600+, after that raid it did fall into my hands...not much resistance there.

I bombed it for two weeks or so...every attack kills 400-1000 soldiers.[:D]

A big factor is experience. I don't usually use bombers for low attacks with exp levels below 70.

Odin -> RE: RE: (2/10/2004 12:15:23 PM)

Hm....they have something around 60-70 or so...at least using this kind of aircraft gives me much better results than using B-17´s, and they did´nt suffer such extremely losses. Cant see a huge impact on aircraft based on target airfield except those fighters shoot down by the escorts, so i use port attack exclusively.[&:]
