Hi, Madhatter, and welcome to the community. If you look inside the main SPWaW folder, you will find a file called SPWaW-Manual. If you have a printer, print the whole thing out and put it in a loose-leaf binder. This was written for an older version, but the basic rules are unchanged. All the basics, tutorials and advanced technical material is there. Now, many of the OOBs mentioned have had changes in succeeding versions, but most of what you need to know is contained in this PDF document. Seriously--this is the SPWaW bible--read it cover to cover. Take your time, and don't let all the technical detail overwhelm you. This is a game--you're not studying for a test. If you just want to get into playing, and are still unsure about any aspect of gameplay or tactics, then this the place to ask. We have only one rule--there are no dumb questions--this is a complex game, and we'll do our best to give you a concise answer. Don't feel intimidated-- just have fun, and get the feel of what tactical combat during the WWII era was all about. Beware, though--this game can be very addictive once you get the hang of it. [;)]
