azcat -> secure game and .elm file (2/22/2004 8:26:31 PM)

Since this is the first time starting a secure game it is possible I screwed something up. After running my turn as the Russians in 2ndUK as a secure email game I clicked the "exit and send" button. It immediately dropped me out of KP, but did not open up the email with attachment I was used to in my other games.

It did create a file with the game name and a .elm extension in my SaveEmail\Send folder.

Since this is only the first turn I can do it again; but is there a known way to either 1) recover this turn and send it on as is; or 2) prevent whatever happened from happening again?

Thanks much!

Hi Azcat,
This problem is likely due to the filename being set too long. There is a known issue where if the filename is over about 8 letters long, the game will fail to create a proper dkp file. Try creating a game with a filename of only a few characters in length.
There is no way to recover the game you have started.
