Redleg -> A New Tiger Scenario Posted (2/29/2004 2:23:04 AM)

I just posted "Stop the Tigers" in two versions - one more challenging than the other.

This puts the player in command of a Soviet force which must stop the dreaded Tiger attack. I think it is a bit different than the norm. It has been thoroughly tested. Have fun with it but watch out for the Tigers!

Download from HTTP://SPWAW.COM Depot in the forums section under Redleg's Showcase.

Some of the guys have been working very hard to create some interesting Version 8 scenarios. Check it out. It will be worth the effort.

I am currently working on "start those Chars....."

It is sort of like a German based scenario but with a twist,,,,,

There is NO Opfor other than a single German soldier with a Kazoo the key to victory is getting the French to close.

It is a tough nut to crack without using the OOB editor.

My complimentary scenario will be called "Dance of the Matildas" and will show you how the germans stopped the counterattack at Arras by using 37mm ATGs firing 1942 pattern HEAT ammo.

Resisti -> RE: A New Tiger Scenario Posted (2/29/2004 10:23:43 AM)

John, went to download your scenario but it seems there's none to. There is none at all, from any of designers who posted their work there, infact. I can see the relevant threads, with description of the battles, but no files to download: what's the deal?

Goblin -> RE: A New Tiger Scenario Posted (2/29/2004 3:18:47 PM)

I just checked Resisti (you gave me a heart-stopper there), and all is in order. The attachments appear in the first post of the thread, for the most part, unless the Designer deleted an old version and posted it further down the thread.

Don't forget to try Xmastown!! Santa and his Elves kick Nazi butt...[:@][:D]

Goblin, I've checked again just to be sure, and I confirm: I don't see ANY download link, in ANY of the showcases.
Is it still the "Zip" icon with the word "download" next to it, right? I've downloaded scenarios in the past from there, but I can't actually..

Does one have to be a registered user to download?
Hope not; this would be a very unwise decision, by the site owner(s), imho.

Goblin -> RE: A New Tiger Scenario Posted (2/29/2004 5:18:33 PM)

Yes, you have to register to download, IIRC. Are you a member? If so, then you shouldn't have a problem, and we should try and work it out if you do...

It was not the case before..
No, I'm not registered, and I don't plan to do, actually.

This site's owners choice, it's really counterproductive, imo.
Oh, well.. I can live without downloading.

Goblin -> RE: A New Tiger Scenario Posted (2/29/2004 5:25:20 PM)

As we are still trying to grow and gain members, I believe it will probably stay that way for a bit. Eventually the main web page will be up and operational, and that may change. We do thank everyone that has signed on and supported us. I am sorry to hear that you do not plan to, but to each his own, as they say.

You may still be able to download scenarios out of the Scenario area of the forums w/o a membership, but I am not sure. The Showcases are 'members only' sections.

Resisti,
I just noticed something: to download the scenarios you click on the the word 'download' beneath the 'zip' icon...not on the icon itself.[:)]

Goblin -> RE: A New Tiger Scenario Posted (2/29/2004 5:50:37 PM)

See if it works. It says in the Showcase descriptions that they are for Members only, but you never know...[;)]

Is there a specific reason you don't wish too, Resisti? Don't like the lay-out? Another reason? Maybe we can help to clear it up so that you would want to sign up.

Thanks for your support Goblin, but this has nothing to do with the layout or any other technical reason.
