Anonymous Sender -> Time to branch-out? (9/10/2001 7:02:00 PM)

A while ago I asked if maybe it wasn't time for the Matrix crew to move on from SPWAW and concentrate on CL/CA and other upcoming projects.
I have since been assured that continuing support of SPWAW is not taking away from other efforts...and I've also heard that the SPWAW MCs are supposed to be a prime source of sorely needed cash, but sales have been disappointing.
Ok, that all being said, my next suggestion for Matrix (I know, I'm full of them ) is to branch out! SPWAW is a great game and the MCs look interesting, but so far what options do we have? Be the Germans in the sand or be the Germans on the Steppe. Many postings I've seen here are by rabidly dedicated fans who think playing the Germans is pretty boring.
How about a Soviet MC for the drive on Berlin or for Operation Uranus? Or Japanese MCs for the drive on Impahl or down the Malay peninsula or in the Phillipines ('41 or '44)? American MCs for Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, or the Phillipines ('44)? A British MC for the D-day landings and the investiture of Caen? Or even what-if MCs for Operation Olympic or WWIII between the Allies and Soviet Russia? How about a package disc of mini-MCs coving minor nation's own campaigns (Finland's winter war, Italy's offensive in Egypt before Jerry bailed them out and the Spanish civil war all on one disc for example)?
I know talk is cheap and coding hours cost money and pile-up amazingly fast, but I'm just trying to help broaden the consumer base and get you guys the long green!
