2500 points, My Russkies vs Minefields Germans... hills dominate the centre, there's also a swamp in the centre south and a lake in central north... plenty of trees... forces have just sighted each other, lots of German snipers around... Glory to the people of the revolution! Da

Germans have blundered their first firefights. Some of the lightning attack pieces, namely the Sdk 255's (I think that's right-- turretless low armored ATG recon) miscalculated their movement ability. Apparently it takes a lot more movement for them to fire than say a StuG. Anyway, our units retaliated for strikes against our snipers. Several bikers were dis-biked in the south and in the middle. Plenty of heavy hitters are seen rolling through the forests towards us. Most of the Ruskie tanks have those 85mm guns [X(]. The germans are actually outgunned in this scenario. That'll teach you not to make a map and choose your forces late at night. Good news: a couple of StuG's and one of those Recon ATG were able to send some bikers running. A couple of other recon ATG's take some shots at some armor up north. Bad News: One armored ATG floods out before even getting there. One StuG moves one space in hopes of getting a shot off at the turretless Soviet tank but is spotted and is blown to pieces before it can even get a shot off [sm=Christo_pull_hair.gif]. It seems I have forgotten some important lessons, including keeping your units hidden and suppressing the enemy before moving in to kill. Big losses in this point sensitive game.

if only my tanks would shoot as straight in my own turn [:(] a few choice recon targets sitting on the hills are still there unfortunately... on my side of the lake in the northern hills our recon discovers some nesting kubelwagens... rare for this time of the year... we blast em and our troops pour in to wash their boots at the lake shore, sadly there's a tank there so we bide our time... We also discover a ATG looking straight down the road at us, with the swamp and the lake flanking it's in a commanding position and our arty team haven't quite got used to our flag signals yet... [:-]

The germans morale was certainly raised after this round. We used our superior long range shooting to shake up some armor. Details from the field: Sgt Kleemann here; SdKfz 233 reporting in. Motorcycles spotted doing the bottom of the board shuffle. Diesel fuel is burning in small patches now after several 7.5 cm shells found their targets. 2Lt Riedmuller here; Seems they've spotted our 75mm Pat40. No worries though; one can't buy just a single ATG. We may or may not be moving from this position, near the road that runs through the hilly center. gears grinding boom boom U1 exchanging fire. Yes sir, Sgt Weber sir. Didn't estimate how hard it is to move in this terrain. We are sitting ducks out here on this ridge. Send some help. The SdKfz 233 that reported about 10 hits around it is here and appears to be immobilized. We have spotted a large green Soviet tank-- appears to be the T-34 model. It's shooting helluva big rounds. It's all the way across that open space. Got any more whiskey sir? Yead this is 1Lt, I think I'm 1Lt, Lang here. You know, the crazy crazy kuebelwagen drivers? Well we got nice and liquored up and we have a few of those VH's in the south. Yeah that's right-- we're sitting ducks out here in the open. wahooo radio click BOOOM CRACKLE Hear that sir? That's one of those KV monsters! We took one out. Put a kill next to my name, Sgt. Kuhns. radio crackle No that was my kill. Weber's kill! Switch frequencies men. Brors here...Krause here...yeah so we went to...followed brors a bit more north....where those kuebelwagens were and spotted some units...where there was a halftrack just sitting there...in full retreat so we opened up the pumps...just sitting there ready to What the hell happened? Straight reports men. They're burning! Lots of soviet corpses. Where the OT34 is burning, there are now engineers lying in heaps and a half track and a truck. All burning! Very good men. Hold your ground. They are pushing hard and fast in the north. They have all the northern VH's but they aren't turn based so hold your ground. Keep your sights clean and your eyes open.

looks like germans wanted to sunbathe at the lake shore too... it's not the same when the trees all around are on fire! Jerry has flammwagens... not nice! we're starting to clear out the mgs and ATG on the main road... plus the arty is on now :) I'm still a little upset at losing my shiny new tanks [:(]

Reports are coming in too fast now. I need only armor kill reports and significant infantry kills. Sgt. Hummel here. Just took out what appeared to be an SU 85. That's our third kill. I said kill reports only. Save the bragging for when we're drinking vodka while the russian women wrap their arms around us. 1Lt Krause here. Whole Soviet Engineering squad taken out. The lakefront realestate is really hot sir. Suggest sending more troops into the area. Artillery has been effective for both sides. The Russians are incensed at the fact the Germans have all the sandy beach on their side of the Lake... especially as our side is now on fire! We may just shell the German beach out of spite! Not much else to report this turn...

Unfortunately the siesta on the beach would not last. Back to fighting. Always fighting. When will we ever get to see those Russian women? At least some of the Russians won't be seeing their women again. A recon patrol won't be in the arms of their dearest. The motorcycle drivers will never have a girl to ride in their sidecar. And those conscripts... well... what can I say about those poor conscripts. They are sitting ducks. Someone forgot to train them. Counter battery fire is in full swing now. Hopefully we will silence those 122's. An SU-85 with squad cover is flanking up north. Two OT-34's are trying to cut down to the main road from the top VH's. We took some shots, but these early model StuG's only get two shots. They aren't all that great if you ask me. Don't tell the gunners though. They are trying hard with what they have. A convoy of infantry in halftracks is moving up the road. Took a couple of shots at them. Wonder where they are headed. Didn't they hear the beach is closed?

No wonder our aim is a bit off. We had your troops' center of masses all off. We had left a couple of things. Women, men, bears--we can kill it all. --Germany's move-- Seems some of that artillery did land on target. Large force in the north. Medium force in the middle consisting of a couple of those 76.2mm / flame thrower tanks. The women are harassing my static defense, that is my ATG's and MG's. Time for revenge. Men-- FIRE AT WILL! We just spotted the burning remains of an ammo carrier. Counterbattery fire set to maximum!!! Oh jeez, we just spotted reinforcements. SU-85's headed down the road. We'll have to do something about that. Pushed back some infantry. No big kills.

fierce fighting, my girls are fring from across the lake at a platoon of germans who had (briefly [:D]) taken up residence there... now they've gone again... lots of small arms fire but it's hard to close with those flame throwing wagens and there seem to be a LOT of Stugs about... The glorious women of the revolution will not fail! This is the only beach for 2000 miles!

'Smoke on the water...' Well there is! Dropped some smoke. Not before he got some infantry kills in though. Halftrack and load walked into a tank, a flame tank, an ATG, and a MG. It didn't survive. --Germany's Turn-- Sent a squad of women away from the northern lake side with some HE rounds. Apparently if they couldn't get the sandy beach, they were going to jump from the trees and play in the water. Flame tank reports two soviet rifle squads obliterated and one heavily damaged. That crew will need therapy for the war crimes that will weigh on its conscience. Another stroke of luck has occurred; a crew jumped back into the SdKfz-233 and scored a kill on a halftrack. Good job men. Artillery is killing their artillery's crew. I have to love that. Soviet tanks are getting too close for comfort. Time to send in the planes heheh oh wait we don't have any.

Finally found and destroyed a sniper that had been watching the women getting changed... perv. Lost a tank in a moment of stoopiditeeee... commisars have approved the temporary release of a womens prison to aid in the fight... The South, which has up until now been rather quiet (due to the BIG SWAMP) is starting to see a little action... The German line holds but we're pushing a little bit will it crack? will we ever make it to the beach? [8\|]

Agh stupid sniper. I told you range 0. I should've disabled his weapon. He was doing so good. Radioing back in the color of the panties and everything. Unfortunately, he started pissing himself as the tank got closer and closer. Artillery is all me baby! --German Turn-- The Panzer hiding up top made his appearance. He went in blazing with 75mm rounds in the direction of the SU-85. Dirt exploded all around Sgt. Hummel as his gunner let one, two, three shells loose. The third one hit home with astounding results; panties went flying everywhere. That will teach that SU-85 not to shoot at my Mercedes-Benz in my backfield. muhahahahaha The flame tank strikes again. This time it takes out a recon patrol and the crew of a tank that got too close to my section of road. This is my road! No one else allowed. Sent the bikers in the south back to hog heaven. Sounds like the Russians got one of those immobile 122mm field howitzers back in action... Men-- stay on the lookout. Even if they aren't wearing clothes, report enemy contact.

Damn you and your ladies!! That flammwagen took about three direct hits from an 85 before bugging out. At least my men know how to fight, even if it's the losing part of war. How many of these damn conscripts do I have to kill? And where are these prison women. I saw their video and I want to meet them [X(]. I couldn't knock out that T-34. We certainly tried though. We'll probably get it next time. They are pushing hard up north. Will they burst through our defenses? It's a nail biter!

we score another flammwagen in the centre [8D] the first squad of girls have their feet in the sandy beach! The prison women are running up the road... they would have got here sooner but you wrecked their transport! [:@] We've got two tanks across the river in the North shooting up everything they can find (sadly they can't find the ATG that took potshots at them...[:-]) It looks like the Germans are about to make a push in the centre or perhaps they're grouping for my arty...

Captain, I think our push in the center may have been premature. North reports a KV-85 moving unchecked. Infantry are not equipped to deal with it. South reports a T-34 moving up in place of those destroyed bikers. Middle reports an OT-34 coming down from the northern VH's, 2 hexes from the road. Another tank, an SU-85 is moving west on the road, two hexes from the center VH's. They are all closing fast. These pitiful StuG's don't have the ROF to deal with this many targets. I suggest reinforcements. I'm already ahead of you. We have already confirmed that much of the infantry and some of the tanks, including the last one you mentioned, are part of a reinforcement group sent once they learned that the beach was a nude beach. Unfortunately, one squad of women have already been seen sunbathing at the north end of the beach where the river joins the lake. We did manage to inflict some casualties all around, with the center pushing ahead. They are inches away from taking some VH's. Tell your troops to hold their ground. The reinforcements will be here soon enough. Use your remaining armor and artillery to hold them till then. Over and out.

Bolshy babes on da beach [8D] bring in a tank to provide some shade against the harsh UV glare of the burning forest [8\|] We find one of the enemy ATGs on their side of the river and knock it out, along with a few more infantry. The Northern breakthru picks up pace! In the South we pick off some recon vehicle sitting on the hilltop... the prison babes jog a bit further up the road...

It looks as if the hellcat has broken through in the north. We will have to stem the tide as much as possible. There is already one immobilized tank and one abandoned tank up there. One was spotted indirectly when a 120mm shell went thunk! I think that's the one on the beach. There may be another. In the south we knocked out that tank that took out my immobilized 'recon' SdKfz 233. Report coming in sir! This is 1Lt Wirth. We emptied our APCR ammo into an immobilized soviet beast and it was wirth it. The bras are burning as we speak. Excellent news indeed. That's one less tank to worry about. We need to silence those 122mm FH's again.

my crews are bailing from their tanks... proximity to the beach has rendered them senseless it seems... I'm losing tanks too fast... It'll be down to the Prison women now... [:@] I've never seen cheap Stugs work so well! [&o] minefield!

Thank you for the compliment. I am still learning but I am pleased with this battle so far. There just seems an endless supply of tanks and infantry coming at me. I know you still have some though, so I'm not going to get too happy. ---Replay--- The Russians made an assualt on my lead vehicles on the road near the VH's. I was able to push them back but that area is now vulnerable. The whole area is on fire practically. There is a giant L shaped fire column. We still have at least one tank to deal with, although my recon is nil now since all this fighting errupted. During the replay, he moved a tank close enough that a StuG was able to force them to bail. I should've brought bigger guns. These soviet cans are tough to crack. --German Turn-- Our main mission right now is to survive and minimize casualties until we can get reinforcements. A german rifle squad up north single handly inflicted 4 casualties on a MC squad, causing them to disperse. Where those women dispersed to is for god to know. We were ordered to take as many hot prisoners as possible. No sign of the prison babes yet. Lots of conscripts on the road though. Interesting note: the bridge has been blown by his artillery. The crew to the abandoned tank at the top edge of the map has been seen. Sacrificed a kuebelwagen to do so though. Limited mobility now as some of the 122's are working. 120 does more casuallties to the arty crew. Hopefully that will limit the amount of firepower he willl have. Over and out.

Oh no! I lost two more tanks... it's all downhill from here I can feel it... the Bolshy babes are swarming across the beach however and despite no tanks we've broken through in the North... too late sadly... [8\|]

A mercedes just took about 20 volleys from conscripts before going down. He must've been doing some crazy driving. Flame tank took aout an SU-85 as it passed by. Reinforcements arrive just as I'm informed there probably aren't any more soviet tanks left. --Germany-- A couple of Tigers arrive with the appropriate adjective, (late). We're moving up boys. Secure all VH's. Put up some guards around our artillery. Forget the beach for now. Let them party while they can. Infantry in the north scramble to prevent crewmen from jumping back in a crippled T-34. We push back some soviets trying to destroy one of our abandoned flame tanks (when I say tank I really mean flammwagen). We take the center VH's with the flames leading the way. Well, 4 out of the 5 have been taken. Next turn should yield the 5th. Infantry is everywhere still. Get to work flamers! Artillery rounds are falling as fast as the truck can unload them.

By going for him, he means that I just moved a IVh into the region and am pushing them back to the beach. The infantry squads at the very top of the map aren't doing so well, but they have help coming. Took some more VH's, but not enough to win early. Flammwagens prove again and again they are well worth the money. They send back several squads again this turn. Without armor to face, they are having a lot of fun. We hold 10 out of the 13 middle VH's. I have yet to see the prisoners. So far only conscripts have faced the german death squads.

Lots of small arms fire in the replay. A soviet halftrack was destroyed during its retreat. --Germany's strikes back-- Preciousssss victory hexes. Preciousss. Not much going on other than the slaughtering of soviet women... They keep trying to jump on top of our armor, but I have warned the men not to open the hatches no matter what the women say.
