generalrichmond -> Voice .wavs for campaigns (10/31/2001 8:57:00 PM)

Well, I don't want this construed as negative *at all*, rather I am looking to make improvements.
But I am thinking that it would be really neat if we could get some people together who can do readings of battle orders or whatever for the campaigns that are floating around and maybe future ones as well. Reason I say this is because there are some campaigns that have sound... and maybe shouldn't. Uhh... like I said, I am going for improvement and not critiquing.
But it really lends a cool flavor to stuff to have pseudo-German or Russian accents at times. Remember PanzerGeneral and the first battle? "Operation Fall Veiss, zee conqvest of Po-land..." That ROCKED! (would be really cool if we could rip some of that PG music for use, too!)
Now, I can do the pseudo-stuff (having taken German, French, and Russian, and able to do some Greek), BUT... I really don't know what programs are necessary to get good sound. I have a decent comp mike. It would be great if we could build a group who can do this stuff. We have all kinds of little specialist communities within the SPWaW group, so why not this? Especially would it be cool to get actual Russians, Ukranians, French, Brits, Germans, whatever - who can do this into English and viceversa as the need may be.
Anyone can help here?
