Yes, from what I understand - everything has been re-done in MTW so you can play the Napoleonic Wars. Check out the site above for more details.

Yes, all the mods require the Viking Expansion because of all the fixes in it, plus you get to play as the Vikings (Arrrgghhh, by Odin plunder the Brits) [:D]

It is worth it - lots of extras and the mods themselves are complete games in their own right.
