PeckingFury -> Just downloaded a non playable demo. (4/22/2004 2:48:50 AM)

Called midway, from the game company Mithis. Game looks good but I did see reference to X-box and another console along with the pc. Just wondering if anyone saw this game and their thoughts. Any other information would be nice, all I know is its a tactical/RTS game. If it can simulate a somewhat turn based feel like some of the other rts games I can stomach<Very Few> I may like it.

Please provide a link

I assume he meant this

http://www.mithis.hu/

PS, I was completely vexed trying to figure how to do a page specific link, so look for a tab called "Game" that sends you to a selection that allows "Midway".

Further note, as a model maker, I am impressed. It looks like they have screen shots of the models used to do their 3d renders.

To quote their own blurb (and they seem immune to cut and paste too darn it).

Announced March 2003

From Mithis and Sci (and the Sci link says nothing).
Scheduled for a 2005 release, so don't hold your breath just yet.
For PC X Box and PS2.

"Midway is a realtime 3d tactical/action game whose missions revive (typo there?) the sea battles of the Pacific Theater of WW2."

Here's a pic of the MTB (if I can figure out putting a pic in here correctly hehe).

Sorry didnt see the link, I actually forgot where i got the demo from, I believe it was from the wargamer site, was like 100 mb but boy it was pretty watching the in game demo in action. The actual combat is very nice but other than the eye candy I have no idea how it plays. The ship modeling as les pointed out is rather nice. Lots of ships and planes and subs modeled just cant find to many screenshots.
