Warmonger -> Potential Upgrades (4/25/2004 9:18:06 PM) Is there ANY way to determine in advance when new (upgraded) units will become available? Has anyone compiled a chronological list of such for the Germans? It is frustrating! Also, the upgrade technically happens on the date of the just completed battle, not the upcoming one, correct? I noticed in the Long campaign I am playing with the Germans that I could not upgrade to IIIG's, but when I fought the next battle, several months had passed and the battle took place when those tanks SHOULD have been available...leaving me technologically behind. [:@]

KG Erwin -> RE: Potential Upgrades (4/25/2004 10:23:18 PM) Yes, this is one of the frustrations of the long campaigns--your upgrades are always one mission behind. The only way I can rationalize this is the lag time for new equipment to reach the front. As for upgrade paths, my suggestion is for you to pre-plan the upgrades. In other words, envision your core force at the end of campaign, and work your way back. The USMC is pretty simple to do this, the Germans not so simple, with their sometimes-bewildering assortment of vehicles/units.
