I hope I do not sound like a total idiot.

How the heck do I get a unit to move into the same hex as another unit? For example, it is impossible me to load/unload... I know that I click about fifty times within a rapid period of time then all of a sudden the units would be together... I am not quite sure how this happens?

shift key.
With an enemy in high suppression, retreat , rout,poor defensive position or posture, go hand to hand combat in same hex[MELEE] if you have numbers or a good leader.F1 key has lots of good info.
