marky -> replacement of UV copy (5/13/2004 10:05:40 PM)

how do i go about sending it back and exchanging it?

Fred98 -> RE: replacement of UV copy (5/14/2004 4:40:33 AM)

Think of a game like a music CD.

If its faulty you can exchange it for another.

But if it is not faulty and you don't like the tunes, sorry, thats not a reason to return it.

i just think its faulty lol

if i criticize it its cuz of frustration due to 2 MONTHS of trying to get the dam thing working

Try using the mail.

1. Insert CD into the CD drive

2. Install game

3. Run game perfectly

4. Install patches

5. Game won’t run!!!!!

6. Solution: Remove the CD from the drive and place it in the other drive. It works like magic

Stupid copy protection problem

marky -> RE: replacement of UV copy (5/14/2004 5:09:24 AM)

no other drive to put it in

Fred98 -> RE: replacement of UV copy (5/14/2004 5:13:05 AM)

If you DO NOT install the patches, does the game run?

-

marky -> RE: replacement of UV copy (5/14/2004 6:59:48 AM)

nope, it doesnt wrk

no matter wont it never wrks

Fred98 -> RE: replacement of UV copy (5/14/2004 7:05:43 AM)

Its probably not the CD thats faulty - hundreds of us play the game.

Its more likely your CD drive or some setting within your PC.

Just because you can run some software does not mean all other software will work on your PC.

Hmmm... could be a possible video problem.... I had a similar problem trying to run Medevial. Something in my directx was screwed up...
What i did was - found the opening video files, moved it to a completely different directory and then the game would start just fine. Not sure if UV stores the opening video files on the hard drive (there are 3 AFAIK). If it does try deleting or renaming them and see what happens.

Do you have problems running any other games or is it just UV? Noticed any video problems recently?

crsutton -> RE: replacement of UV copy (5/14/2004 5:04:09 PM)

You really should post your problem on the tech support formum for this community. I am willing to bet your problem will be solved pretty quick.

Mr.Frag -> RE: replacement of UV copy (5/14/2004 5:11:53 PM)

Locate where you installed it and double-click on the uncommonvalor.exe instead of the start.exe which your shortcut is launching to get directly into the game. Report back what happens.
