What's there to work ? It's not even 3d. All you really need is Windows and directx.

Marky; I'll let you know - but if I can't play w/ everything (all 3 or so) MAXED out I will be really - like - upset ya know. [8D]

Marky, your experience is the exception not the rule... I hope you get a comp working that does it for you...it wouldn't take much, honestly, you could go and buy any old budget pc and it would most likely run...

Marky - don't rain on his parade dude - he has a good computer and UV will work just fine Besides - sour grapes and a crappy PC don't fit ya well [:D] You'll find and/or build a PC someday that will run all the games you want [8D]

Played through the tutorial slowly a couple of times and studied the keycard. Some brief comments; · The “Tutorial” = yikes, this is supposed to teach you something? All it really did was show me to go in this order of review, TF, LB Air, Ground units, Bases. · The icons and hotkeys appear to be well thought out and easy to use. No real issues there. · I’m printing the manual as we speak so I can get into some serious detail this weekend. Barkhorn.

BarkhornXX,welcome to the South Pacific..IMHO you will have a great time..I do not think the game has a steep learning curve at all,but it is so detailed you will continue to find new things about this game a year from now,(like I have).. Pay attention to the veteran's in here and ask anything.Somebody will get back with you. You were given great advice,(did you stop off for the JoltCola??)..[:D]

Kiss you wife and children and phone your mom and friends a last time before diseappearing from the surface of earth. Actually I felt ten years younger when I realised that I have played UV a whole night shortly after receiving it, withut realizing it. My boss didn't feel me really active the next day.

That would be nice. Actually, the manual is pretty good - and I'm taking my time going through it - using scenaro #1 as my "test bed". I expect that by the end of this week i will be able to actually play a scenario. The leve of detail is really a wonder to behold. Barkhorn.

Best way to do it. I didn't have a clue after reading the manual, and since reading the forum, have learned lots of good stuff.... almost enough to consider myself "not a noob" anymore... when playing the AI of course.
