GBirkn -> Production rate v Replacement rate? (6/29/2004 2:27:55 PM)

In the aircraft replacement pool display, what exactly is the difference between an aircraft's production rate and its replacement rate? I see in the manual (section 5.1.3.3, p. 45) that "the replacement pool is assumed to be coming from 'off map'", and also says that "the replacement rate will begin to deliver planes to the replacement pool"

The next paragraph says that "the production rate is the total monthly production rate of all the on board factories. . . . the expected number of planes that will be delivered to the Replacement Pool each month."

Does this mean that the replacement rate represents production by off-board factories? Or if not, what is it?

Japan produces the US gets replacements. At least I think that's what it means.[;)]

Production rate is what is produced by n map factories.

Replacement rate is what is produced by off map factories.

Only the Allies have off map production
