Someone mentioned the difference between CARRIERS AT WAR and UV/WitP, and how far we've come - imagine what we're going to have fifteen years from now! My dream wargame is one in which you sit in a sort of office and receive reports - handwritten, radio messages, debriefs, etc., - and you have to command through a staff, without tactile feedback. What's more, you have to deal with the personality strengths/weaknesses of your staff and the time delays. Now THAT would be realistic. Remember the talk about "Road To War", where you had a map and you drew operations onto it? I can't help thinking we;re gong to get there soon ... a long way from AH's Tactics and Blitzkrieg and Midway, eh?
