C'mon Event!

Let the battle begin

GameTester -> RE: Status Update (7/1/2004 10:20:21 PM)

Can DR handle 500 orders at the same time? [:D]

Lets hope we have to find out! 500 would be great for Matrix as the first day order total.

500 dowloads in the first day would be awesome!

Anyone know the record to date?

Matrix does not discuss sales results.

GameTester -> RE: Status Update (7/1/2004 10:26:10 PM)

500 x $70 = $35,000

Guys,

Please just wait a little longer, we have not yet made the official announcement. If there are any glitches for those who have started their downloads already, you may have to redownload. Caveat emptor. Thanks.

I don't know why DR can't keep these things invisible, but they seem to be having some issues. The problem is that we stil need to do a few more steps from outside the store to guarantee that everything will work properly for you and be properly registered after download.

Regards,

- Erik

Arnir -> RE: Status Update (7/1/2004 10:51:46 PM)

Erik, your post is exactly the reason why you need a stickied and locked thread at the top. Not everyone will see this in the frenzy.

rawink -> RE: Status Update (7/1/2004 10:57:03 PM)

I am sorry I started the DL before these warning Erik..

but I am at 100% now.. I will advise if it was bad or not.

Onime No Kyo -> RE: Status Update (7/1/2004 10:58:30 PM)

I just initiated the download!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My girlfriend just gave me such a strange look. [X(] It may have had something to do with me jumping up and down like a little girl....but I'm not sure. [&:]

You actually expect these yahoos to wait?

LMAO!

Erik Rutins -> RE: Status Update (7/1/2004 11:06:06 PM)

No, not really, but I'm doing the best I can to keep the dam from cracking any further. [;)]

My nightmare is 500 invalid orders now thanks to DR not keeping this in the private section of the store until done, which means possibly 500 customer support requests over the next day to resolve order issues. Let's hope not.

- Erik

Can't blame you for trying.

I for one am waiting. Not for honor, not for glory, but because I'm still stuck at work for 2 hours!

No real point in downloading it here.

rawink -> RE: Status Update (7/1/2004 11:16:12 PM)

and thats WHY! I did it.. 8 minutes flat, vs a couple hours from home! buring it to CD now

Onime No Kyo -> RE: Status Update (7/1/2004 11:26:17 PM)

Nothing personal raw....but I dont like you. [:)] Mine is still trudging along and its been almost 20 minutes.

Hello, will DR handle orders tomorrow in the morning ?

Because I`m in Europe and I have a 1MB DSL at work, :D

Or can I order now and start the download tomorrow in the morning ??

Thanks in advance

kaleun -> RE: Status Update (7/1/2004 11:41:31 PM)

I believe you have a 30 day window from order to download. Alternatively just order tomorrow. It works 24/7

rhohltjr -> RE: Status Update (7/1/2004 11:48:10 PM)

What, if any difference is there in DD (besides immediate satisfaction)versus ordering the
DVD package? Is there an actual paper manual? Cool fold out poster? Special coupons for
10% off StarShatter?

[sm=00000436.gif]

kaleun -> RE: Status Update (7/1/2004 11:49:05 PM)

Nah, just the instant (sort of) gratification

Erik Rutins -> RE: Status Update (7/2/2004 12:04:12 AM)

Hi,

The graphics glitches on the main page are a cache issue which will work its way through the DR servers. From my testing, the US WitP ordering seems to be working fine now with CD on demand supported. We are still putting the international WitP orders up next, but I wanted to keep you all posted. In general, I'd say it's safe to order from the US store at this point and will be soon from the UK and other stores.

I'll post a huge announcement and a press release when all stores are fully ready.

Regards,

- Erik
