adantas -> Winter's cammo for vehicles??? (12/27/2001 8:04:00 PM)

Hi folks! I was thinking about why we doesn't have tanks and other vehicles with white cammo for winter scens????
aren't there icons to represent this possibility??
I think would be nice to see a white painted Tiger firing his 88 against Shermans or T-34s in the snow ( Ok folks, I simply love those big cats ) Alessandro --------------

Each different rendering of a vehicle takes a slot in the Oob and there are a limited number of slots. Combat Leader should overcome these limitations.

Probably, but I wouldn't know how or who to talk to about it. Good luck with it.

To make it work for a specific scenario, you gotta make a shp file with your icon in it. Everybody downloading the scenario would have to download the shp aswell. Then it would work, but it's a bit uncomfortable...
To make your own icons. you can use Fred's icon editor and a program like paintshop pro, e.g.
It takes some time to get used to, but is really fun after a while... hope, that helps...

I also think as Panzer Leo stated, that replacing an existing unit graphic in the shape file should work. I already did this "white washing" with building graphics...shouldn“t be a problem with unit icons either. Player needs to change the appropriate shp files manually then in order to get the winter camouflage schemes.
Some more about this on saturday coming. __________

I used to do this back in the early days of my SP'ing, with SP1. I takes a very long time to do the white coloring, then you just swap out the files for the winter scenario, I did this in a campaign back then. Looks really cool, but too time consuming.
