ORIGINAL: Mr.Frag You can try renaming the Video directory as well, but you definitely have some other issues going on there. list all your specs please. ie: hardware, operating system etc. The sound glitch has been during the execution of the first turn. You don't sound like you are even getting there. Mr. Frag, thanks for the reply. Guess it's going to be a looong nite! Yer a saint!! When I first tried the game, I got into the first turn of the full war scenario. During the Japanese first turn, the sound began to garble and finally the game crashed during an aerial combat. Sounds pretty much like every else's problem. I ran DIAGX - no problems and emailed a log in. Then I tried renaming the Sound directory to NOSOUND. Game plays the Matrix intro and pops back to the initial screen. Renaming Sound directory back to SOUND, and I'm back to the original problem. Here's my specs: Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 1 (2600.xpsp2.030422-1633) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: GBT___ System Model: AWRDACPI BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.06GHz Memory: 1024MB RAM Page File: 314MB used, 2147MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0b (4.09.0000.0902) DX Setup Parameters: Not found DxDiag Version: 5.03.0001.0902 32bit Unicode
