tanjman -> Local help with digital download (7/2/2004 10:39:07 PM)

I just ordered WitP & SPWAW w/CD on demand, but 14 days seems like a long time to wait for the CDs since I only have a dial-up connection.

I know this is a long shot, but is there anyone in the Griffin, GA USA area that has a high speed connection I could use for WitP DD? [&o]

I've already checked the local libriaries and they do not have CD burners so thats out. Any other places I could try?

[:D] Thanks in advance for any help I recieve

Just a suggestion, but what about an internet caffe? They are on high-speed connections, and SHOULD have a burner... though I'm sure there's some that don't. Just a thought... hope it helps.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunateley I'm out here in the sticks and the cyber cafes all seem to be I Atlanta (traffic almost as bad as when I was stationed in Long Beach) which is too far (1 - 2 hrs) for me to bum a ride to.

[:D] 14 days (max) and counting until CD on demand arrives!!!

That's what I was going to suggest. Just set it up as you go to bed, may take a few nights of this but it'll be worth it.

Did you try a Kinkos? Last time I was in one you could rent a computer with cable internet connection and a CD burner for a reasonable price per half-hour.

I've done the modem download 56K, it took 24hrs, I used Getright, got disconnected twice, no problem restarting!
