I'm finding that I can't change the HQ to which a base is assigned. I click on the HQ name in the base display screen, and get a screen showing the PP cost to change the assignment (I have more than enough PPs) and a list of HQs. But all of the HQs are grayed out, and can't be selected, so the base can't be changed. What am I missing here? (And is there a section in the manual that explains it? I've looked and haven't found anything.)

I've looked and haven't found anything.) Just did a quick run though the manual on this and can't find it either... Though I do tend to read a bit too quick, so I might have missed it. It's possible the base itself doesn't change HQ assignments until a headquarters is eliminated or moved by OOB... I always thought those were regionally driven anyway when I used to play PACWAR back in the day... At any rate, I'll keep digging cause you have me curious about this now... EDIT: Found it I think... It's 9.5 under BASES oddly enough. LOL! Read right past it... At any rate, it refers to the command structure of various bases and their attachment to that specific support command. Maybe that limit DOES apply? Don't know. [&:]

Yes, I saw that section too and was still left wondering. So far it's not a big deal, as I don't really need to change any bases around, but I'm still scratching my head over this one.

I've tried a few different bases, just to see if they'd change. Midway, Suva and Lunga are the latest three that I just tried out, and none of them would change to any other HQ. Is it just too early in the war (late January 42) for me to do this?

Hello... You must have a land based unit at the base attached to the HQ to which you wish to change. Bye...
