Brennus -> Commandos, infiltration (12/31/2001 2:25:00 AM)

A little question. In a PBEM (a Battle at Stalingrad), I must assault Russian Defenses. And for helping the first wave, I think to infiltrate some spec ops in the soviet first lines (recon, desorganization...).
The problem with this tactic is that you loose a large part of this units (turn 99). I believed it was possible to recover this lost units, but I can't find the info in the manual. Is it possible to recover this units ? And how ? Or are they deffinitively lost ? Thank you Franck.

Unrecoverable (turn 99) special forces is the price one must pay for using them. It adds a bit of "chance" as to whether or not they arrive on the battlefield.

Thank You ! I'm going to take the risk . Franck.

Hello... Commando types will not be available for the battle, when the turn indicated is 99. If you are playing a campaign, they return at the beginning of the next battle. The turn 99 indicator means that squad got lost, is having brandy at a brothel, became engaged with forces off map or for some other reason and will not be able to reach the assigned objective during the time frame of the battle. Hope this helps... Michael Wood
