Jonathan Palfrey -> RE: reviews? (7/6/2004 8:40:18 AM)

On the plus side, it seems to be a good, well-designed simulation of Napoleonic warfare; it's easy to learn and easy to play. On the minus side, it's only part of a war so I don't get the feeling of involvement that I get from playing a whole war. There's at least one small bug still remaining but it can be worked around (and should be fixed soon). Playing against the program won't satisfy in the long term because it doesn't play very well; you have to consider playing against humans by e-mail. I don't think it's necessary to wait for the next patch before buying. I can play the game without trouble as long as I remember not to use the arrow keys in the supply trains box.
