HawaiiFive-O -> Sending ships off map (7/6/2004 6:31:54 PM)

I know most everyone's busy tackling Scenario 15, but I'm having some fun PBEM'ing the Marianas campaign.

In my IJN one, I can't seem to figure out how to send ships back to Tokyo. I've got some useless CVEs I want to send back- their only use seems to be to give the USN even more points for sinking them. There's precious little keeping the USN from sailing up and Truk-erizing Palau, so I want them to bug out.

But the option is not there. Am I missing a rule here somewhere? I read/searched through the manual, but couldn't find anything. I am unable to send back both healthy and slightly damaged ships. Is there a damage threshold for sending ships back? Maybe 10 SYS or something like that?

Thanks in advance.

hmm, i dont play a pbem game yet but I play scenario #1 and try to follow erik rutins advises to start the game with this scenario.

the sent back to pearl harbor option isnt there either aviable for me - I think its hardwired and simply not aviable in this scenario. can anyone confirm this please ?

Since the scenario scores damaged ships (Manual 16.0), it wont allow you to send ships off map for any reason.

So you'll have to stand and die in true Nipponese tradition.
