cave_45 -> DD - A Few Questions (7/7/2004 3:47:02 PM)

Before I start, I would like to appologise for probably asking questions that have already been asked, and I am sure, answered in full... But here goes....:

I plan to purchase the game tonight via DD, and download at work tonight after hours.

My question is, do I have to download onto the machine I want to run the game on, and if not, then how can I get it onto my machine.
For example, can I write the DD files onto CD, and then load it onto my system at home? And if I can, can I reload it onto my system again and again in the future should I need to FFR for whatever reason.

Do I get an indervidual CDkey or COA of any sort, I guess I do to prevent mass copying... but is this included in the download or am I sent it speerately?

Any advise would much appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

Hi,

You may burn a copy to CD as a personal backup. You can then take it and install it on your home system. You will receive a serial number in a confirmation e-mail, which will be required to install the game and to register for future game updates. That's about it. [8D]

You can download it anywhere, all you need is a backup device (in most cases a CD burner) on that system so you can backup/burn the file (466mb) .
After burning it on the CD you can install WitP from the CD on your machine.

You get a serial (sended to your by email and the serial is also visible at the order details).

Erik,
I forgot my burner is down when I ordered in the first frenzy to download... can I still pay ten and get a cd "on demand"
I have my info of course[:D]

This is actually one of the things we're discussing with DR, right now it's virtually impossible to do that without cancelling the order. We're trying to get that changed ASAP.

Well Ive got the game on hard drive #2 so both drives would have to be bad to loss it, I'm just worried because a close friend had their entire pc rebuilt after a viciuos hack and lost tons of data
