UPDATE : I had 2 Dutch AS ships in port, and an US Sub. The re-supply didnt work - see above.

I then shipped 3 USA Navy AS ships into Batavia and Voila ! -> US sup reloaded torps.

Xargun, you were right, you need a Dutch AS to supply Dutch subs
and you need an US AS to supply USN Subs.

somehow realistic imho ,and OK but it is not logical becasue dutch ML ships can re-arm Mines in a british port, here the nationality rule is skipped ( thrown over board )

just to inform you.

Raymond, I am still gaming on to see whats the AD & DD issue will bring ( i.e. will a US AD resupply dutch DD's ).

The mines themselves get "thrown overboard" in a rather generic fashion, whereas torpedoes must be launched from torpedo tubes designed specifically for them. I'd say it is logical.

from the nationality supply point of view it isnt. But I can live with it.

The AD & DD issue will be interesting. if US AD's supply dutch DD's with torps then....[8|]

wait, I will post the result here

Sultanofsham -> RE: AE's, AS's AE's Oh MY! (8/4/2004 12:28:17 AM)

What I wonder about is will the Dutch subs be able to reload at a port thats not Dutch but meets the suppy and and size requirement or will the loss of Dutch ports and the two dutch AS ships take away any tube reloading.

I would guess they still could reload at any port that meets the requirements but ya never know.

Mr.Frag -> RE: AE's, AS's AE's Oh MY! (8/4/2004 12:32:25 AM)

Let me know if the AD's will only top up Yank DD's.

thats exactly the case I have just found out.

At Pontianak ( Borneo )

I had 1 USN AD ship and numerous DD ships from UK, USN and the Netherlands. The USN ships had their torpedo tubes reloaded, the tubes of the british and dutch DD's were left empty.

I hope this help us all now [:)]

Mr.Frag -> RE: AE's, AS's AE's Oh MY! (8/4/2004 1:09:55 AM)

I have asked whether it is by design or a oversight. Will let you know when I know.

2ndACR -> RE: AE's, AS's AE's Oh MY! (8/4/2004 1:10:18 AM)

Thank god I play the IJN. No need to fear this problem.

DBS -> RE: AE's, AS's AE's Oh MY! (8/4/2004 9:35:20 AM)

If this is the case, then it makes the omission of RN tenders from the OOB a critical problem. I am making good progress on hunting down details on the RN submarine tenders: HMS Lucia should be at start, with Adamant (May 42), Maidstone (Mar 44) and Wolfe (Aug 44)arriving later. But destroyer tenders are proving more problematic at present.

Jaws_slith -> RE: AE's, AS's AE's Oh MY! (8/4/2004 9:43:03 AM)

Give me an extra button in the preference screen:

Nationality rule ON/OFF

It is already a micro management to get those ships at the right spot.. and now we have to check from which country the repair ships are, and the ships I want to repair[&:]

Was a bug ... Has been fixed.

Yes. It was *not* intentional. Had it been intentional, it would have been *in* the manual. [;)]

UncleBuck -> RE: AE's, AS's AE's Oh MY! (8/4/2004 6:06:02 PM)

Would have been cool if this was a feature. Then have the option to send teh Dutch and British ships to a US repair yard for Upgrades and let them use the 21 inch torps. I know it is Ahistorical I think? What did the Dutch Subs do when the DEI fell? Where did they go and were they refitted for UK or US torps? Did they get used as supply and spec ops subs only? What aboutteh DD's those shoudl be much easier to convert to Standard torpedos. Anyone know?
