sami heimola -> More proposals... (6/3/2000 8:19:00 PM)

Hi Bill! I don't know did you seen my last message but I tell it again: could it possible to make similar kind of game for modern equipment (just like SP2 for example)? And could it be possible to expand SPWAW's timeline into Korean War (one of my favorite timelines in SP2)1950-53? Every nations of UN, which took part of it could have own oob's and flags and so on... Thanks Sami Heimola

Hi sami as far as i know, there is a product called 'SP : The Nam' that will cover the 1950-1975 area focusing in Southern Asia... So i think Korea 50-53 will fit in this. Very early in the board, someone of Matrix also wrote of a possible 'SP 2000' to expand the time frame to modern days. I don't think it's already scheduled, but if we support the idea, it may be given birth

Thanks a lot about your notice! Do you mean that SP:Nam will include Korean War years too? It could be cool;-)... Hmmm... I have thought this kind of game for some older timeline (as Civil War/Napoleonic Wars/30 Years War for example)too. SPWAW's engine could be suitable for older warfare (with it's all great new graphical things:-)). Thanks again Sami Heimola

Steel Panthers: The Nam is due out sometime this summer. See the Nam site here for more info. I have no info on SP: 2000. Nor on Wargamer's mods, Civil War, SPWW1, SP:Europe, or SP: Africa. troopie
