I can see how having your initial attacking divisions such as the 2nd Marines taking Saipan at 100 for "furure objective". What about ENG's, ART, AMPHIB Tanks, and so on. They usually come in on the second and third waves. Do they need to also be at 100 pts. to be efective???

Not that it matters but I'm playing SCN 006.

all units, INF/ARM/ENG etc etc benefit from the objective tab as all are suspectible to disablement on landing if not prepared enough

None of the ENG's or should I say Seebees are set for Siapan in SCN 006. So, they will not be effective in reducing fortifications? Another question. do Seabees or Base forces reduce fortifications? Sorry gang for the silly questions. So much to learn and so little time. And yes, I've read the manual twice.

I have had only the 2nd and 4th USMC Divs attacking Saipan and had a fortress reduction. SUrprised me. Then I looked into the TOE and noticed that they have organic Engineers. I wonder if the more engineers the higher the chance of a reduction.

Nothing has changed since UV, engineers that take part in the attack can reduce fortifications. Seabee's do not have any combat strength so they don't help.
