RTB -> Malaya and PI Surrender question (7/14/2004 1:12:25 AM)

If I take Singapore and Bataan (Manila has fallen) as IJA. Will this result in all the other bases still in Allied possession in the PI and Malaya to capitulate as well or will I have to go to all those obscure empty bases in Mindanao and the Visayas and attack them.

When Gen Wainwright surrendered in Corregidor, he surrendered all Allied forces in the PI.

This becomes important because I have Bataan and Singapore under siege and am preparing for Rangoon and Palembrang and Batavia.

LAst question:

the major base objectives (by theater) in Rising Sun in order that I see are (feel free to express your opinion):

Malaya
Khoto
Mesing
Johore
Singapore

Hong Kong

PI:
Lingayen (why do we need an appari/vigan/laoag invasion)
Clark
Manila
Bataan

Java
Palembrang
batavia
What is next?

Burma
However way to get to Rangoon

Taking Singapore or Bataan will not bring about any mass surrender of other Allied controlled bases in the area. You will normally still have to occupy them to gain control.

The only exception is that having uncontested air power present near an enemy controlled base may result in the enemy base switching to your control if it is unoccupied (it is explained in the manual).
