Yesterday i started my first campaign in 45, finished 1 turn so far but i leave some areas under computer control.

Someone else do this, or are you doing the entire war?

I´m not shure, but is it possible to finish this game that way before i will die?[:D]

Yes, I'm playing the full campaign game, and I do have some areas under computer control, though not always the same ones. Basically it depends with me what action is taking place where. So far I've left China and the North Pacific entirely under computer control, but have always controlled myself the West Coast and South Pacific. I'm also now controlling the SW Pacific and Australia and India/Burma, but have handed the DI/Phillipines area back to Computer control, as a lost cause for the Allies.

the Northern area with Russia and China are two areas I usually leave to the computer. As soon as I redeploy some assets out of Alaska that will become computer controlled as well.

I left china under AI control until 6 months in and the AI hadnt moved a single troop anywhere and figured it was a lost cause and took over that area too. Like the old saying goes ..if you want something done right gotta do it yourself ;)

Not for me as Allies in 41. I don't trust it. I just ignore areas and check up on them once in a while.

I decided that I was going to jump in all the way, and have been controlling all areas of the war myself. I'm pretty glad that I did, too. The initial learning curve was a little steeper, but now I feel comfortable running the whole show.

In PacWar, when playing as the Allies, I pretty much always left India, China and the SRA to the AI, figuring that I'd learn the other parts of the war first and then get back to them later. Except I never did get back to them, because there was always something else that I wanted to try with CentPac or SWPac.

So I'm glad that I just plunged in this time around.

Playing for the jap’s (campaign 15)
I left the CPU to control the northern areas, and he started a fight with the Russians[:@]. After my lovely AI (northern cpu command) was loosing some 3000 man in a shock assaults[:@] (happening some 3 turns) I decide to take it over.
Now I am lousing 250men a turn sometimes 500 against the Russians (85000men).

I'm playing the campaign, as only the British (SEAC). Everything else is computer control. My Dutch, US, and Australian allies have proved utterly worthless. Nothing going on at all. Meanwhile the Japanese continue to roll thru DEI and have almost taken the Phillipines. We have sent repeated requests to US, to dispatch their carriers to at least raid the Marinas or something, anything. But alas, their 4 carriers still sit in Pearl.

I'm way too much of a control freak to do it.

I'm playing Scen 15 with human control over all areas. I also have the auto convoy system turned off [:D]

Takes longer to make turns but I'm loving it.

I had wanted to have the AI control NE, China and the British zones so I could concentrate on Cent, SW, and So Pac. Unfortunately, the AI has been causing some quirks as noted in the support forum so now I control everything save the two China zones.

do not trust the computer to do anything but screw up my finely. lol, tuned ijn timetable for overrunning all bases west of Pearl lol

My PBEM opponent and I agreed to leave the two China zones under copmputer control for both sides, allowing us to focus on the much more intriguing parts of the game. Playing the China Theater is like playing the Somme. Dull.

I think that if the ijn player actually wants to win on points.. 4 to 1 in 43.. then destroying Chinese basis/troops with manchurian units is the first step, just my thoughts.. I love playing in China as it is totally different than the rest of the game.. adds greatly to my experience.. for what its worth..
