Is there such a project, if so, will you release any info? A good tactical naval game would be interesting.

Just like to say that goes for me too,Greybear!
Shortly after my recent post on the WW1 thread (on this topic by the way) I was lurking around other parts of the forum & found a link to www.theunderdogs.org where much to my surprise & satisfaction I actually found a d/l of Turcan's Dreadnaughts which I had been looking for for literally years. Unfortunately I haven't yet managed to get the sound to work on it which detracts from the appeal somewhat but I am still chuffed to have found it. The underdogs looks like an excellent resource for the old favourites.
Like Greybear I hope the Dreadnaught project will be a tactical naval game with strategic elements. As I said in my WW1 thread post I would be looking for a graphic & audio feast
(BTW slightly off topic : I downloaded the demo Fighting Steel from the SSI site. It would not run properly on my AMD Athlon 800 with DDR card & Soundblaster 1040. The graphics were all messed up)
Anybiody else have this problem?
