Marc:

I completly understand that programs fail and systems fault and at times you can't reproduce the problems. Been there myself many time with dds climate control systems.

Would it help if all those having problems running SPWAW 8.20 on WinXP submit their system configurations to matrix through the forum.

Service packs installed
Motherboard & bios
Video Card, bios & current drivers
Etc. Etc........

RBWhite -> RE: SteelPanthersWAW (9/3/2004 3:38:35 AM)

Marc:

I have received two error messages form WinXP, when I was trying to get Spwaw 8.20 to work.

1. Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. It refers to an application from Indigo Rose: iun6002.exe abnormal termination.

2. Zip file error message, Dynazip error: zip file read error that is associated with the Indigo Rose Autoplay application.

Any help ?[:)]

Voriax -> RE: SteelPanthersWAW (9/10/2004 7:19:45 PM)

Seraphim, can you start the game from quick start?

Voriax

RBWhite -> RE: SteelPanthersWAW (9/11/2004 12:12:17 AM)

Seraphim2150:

That appears to be a sound card problem.

Are you using a creative labs sound card like Audigy?

You may need to reload the program that came with your sound card or the system disk that came with your computer or you can go to Creative Labs.com to get the most current drivers.
And see what happens.

Billy2003s -> RE: SteelPanthersWAW (10/17/2004 12:47:03 AM)

Hi all,
wonder if anyone can assist?
Playing against a friend who tells me he can see all my dispositions as his
Artillery comes in. All my units are lit up and he can see where I am. Is there a parch/setting to prevent this.
we are playing by email.
Had something similar occur when we played Steel Panthers 3 but am sure there was a patch to resolve this.
can anyone help.

thanks
Billy

Frank W. -> RE: SteelPanthersWAW (10/22/2004 9:52:40 PM)

have all you ppl . that have probs tried to delete the steel.prf file in the save folder ?

it sometimes causes problems ( while normaly not with starting the game )

also i heard that win xp SP2 sometimes causes problems.

i would also recommend ppl. who still play such "old games" to
make a 2nd partion with win98 SE. i remind you that the SP engine
is really old nowadays !

i run win98 SE on 2pcīs and donīt have any trouble with SPWAW.
also i could run the SPMBT game well. the only serious error
i encounter is that in email games the save file is corrupt...

any solution to the last prob ?
