Hi Marc:

I know that you are looking for the original LucasArts Adventures, but you may be also interested in this Fan project that created a Deluxe Version of Maniac Mansion:

http://people.freenet.de/lucasfangames/maniac/index_eng.htm

It is available in ten different languages (Rheinisch is not supported yet [:D]) and it's free (and even Ron Gilbert, the creator of the original game seems to like it). I haven't had time to try it myself, but I will soon.

Greetings,

Chuck

Slightly on topic: Don't forget that "Sid Meier's Pirates!" will be released this November. A re-make of the classical game (and my ABSOLUTE favorite on the Amiga), but with all the fancy 3D stuff required today by kids. [;)] Anyhoo, it looks like they are careful to keep in the same atmosphere and gameplay as the original, and with some add-ons that modern technology allows. (did I hear Multiplayer? [:'(])

I absolutly love this game. I can't wait for the remake. Just hearing the name makes me want to break out my old Amiga 500 and play it again. Although I have not run my Amiga in many years, I could not bring myself to part with it..

Grim Fandago is still the best adventure game I have ever played.
Saying that, I wouldnt mind getting my hands on all the old Leisure Suit Larry games.

Williamb -> RE: Looking for old LucasArts Adventures [originals] (8/22/2004 7:43:36 AM)
