SunDevil_MatrixForum -> A Ground Unit Question (8/7/2004 5:34:37 AM)

At the top of a ground unit window, it displays the units name and then a number for example: (102/102)

In the manual, this is what it states:
quote:

In this case, we have selected the 30th Australian Brigade, an Infantry Unit. The 102/102
indicates that the first number is the number of ready elements divided by the total number of
TOE elements, while the second number is the total number of ready elements and disabled
elements divided by the total number of TOE elements.

I was wondering if someone can better explain this, because this definition does not help me much. Thanks.

Ya, that's not the most helpful... Last time I checked, 102/102 equaled 1. LOL! Don't think you have 1 squad on the front. LOL! Let me try'n read through it too. See what I can make of it.

EDIT: Two words for that entry... "meaningless gobbly-gook". Okay, technically that might be three words... Anyone else shed some light on this? Cause that one went over my head BIGTIME! [&:]

Actually it is quite easy. They are both percentages. The first is the percentage of ready elements compared to the units TOE. The second is the percentage of elements the unit has compared to the units TOE. So a 100/100 unit has no disabled units and is at full TOE. A 50/100 unit has 50 percent of its elements disabled but is at full TOE. A 50/50 unit has 50 percent of its TOE and none of them are disabled. A 25/50 unit would have 50 percent of its TOE and 50 percent of that will be diabled. [8D]

Nomad,

Thanks for the answer. So over time do units that have parts disabled get them healed, or do I have to set them to accept replacements in order to get the full 100% participation? Thanks.

2ndACR -> RE: A Ground Unit Question (8/7/2004 6:30:19 AM)

i have found that they recover much faster if you set them to recieve replacements. Put them with a HQ or 2, temperate zone, googles of supply and they recover at a decent rate.

von Murrin -> RE: A Ground Unit Question (8/7/2004 6:32:24 AM)

LCU's will recover over time if possessed of enough supply, support squads, are not moved, do not fight, and are in a base (the bigger the better). Not all conditions must be true, but having just any one of them will make for very slow recovery; the more the better.

Wouldn't it be simple to just say:

50/100 means It is fully equipped but only half its strength is ready...

While

75/50 would mean it is at 75 pct ready but only has half its equiptment...

50/50 would be Half ready and with only half its equiptment..
