Txema -> User Interface changes: little suggestion (8/12/2004 10:06:08 PM)

First of all I want to say that I like very much the User Interface changes that you have introduced in BiN. Specifically I like very much the new presentation of the combat shifts (as it can be seen in this screenshot, for example)

http://www.ssg.com.au/BinScreens/new/More%20Trouble%20for%20Monty.htm

and the new presentation for the selected units, where "leave detachment", "extended movement", "entrench"... can be selected directly on them (as it can be seen in this screenshot, for example)

http://www.ssg.com.au/BinScreens/new/no%20hope%20falaise.htm

Other little thing that I like very much is that now in the tank and assault gun units, together with the unit name, the name of their main combat vehicles and a drawing of them is given (in the first screenshot, we can see "22 Panzer (MkV/MkIV)", "503 Panzer (MkV)", and drawings of the different tanks). In the same way, for artillery units at least the caliber of the gun is given. I know it is a little feature, but it adds a lot to my enjoyment of the game. When I am playing I really like to have info to know where the attack and defend values of a unit come from. However let me make a little suggestion: I have seen that you are using the "British" names to designate the german tanks (MkIV, MkV). Why donīt you use the "German" names for them (PzIV, PzV for example)? I think they would be more adequate. In the same way I would like to see the name of the main combat vehicles in all the units that have them (including for example the recon units).

All these little things improve the game experience a lot. Way to go, SSG !!!

P.S. It seems there is an error in the 503 Panzer Battalion. It should be "503 Panzer (MkVI/MkVIB)". Am I right?
