Is the main campaign in BIN larger than the ATD campaign?

The main campaign is actually broken down into two scenarios.. the overlord one which is the landings, and then a sceanario called Breakout which details the second phase of the battle.

Aha, ok. But these scenarios, are they larger and contains more units than the ATD scenario?

the game isn't released, and changes are hapenning to tweek it, but my from the stands impression is that atd had lots of Russian units and so this will have less units, but the truth is I do not know.
Also remember many BIN user games will come out, one for sure will be the entire campeign not broken in two, more units if that is your thing....

I'm just figuring out if I'm going to buy ATD to get used to the huge amount of units in BIN if that is the case. I prefer not too many units though.

Love the game system otherwise.

atd is a bargain at 15.00, is that still the price? and bin is a different game engine, a modified added on tweeks revamped game that the designers are hinting will have a much bettter ia, although lorsun and its many user made scenario's really shine in pbem

Yes AtD has a heap of soviet units.. there wont be as many as these in BiN. BiN uses a map which is as large if not slightly larger.. the number of units are probably in the TAO scale of things maybe 25-33% more - but not like AtD.

The AI is very much improved and has given me some real headaches at times [X(] But as pointed out, if you are not playing these games in PBEM mode or joining in on the PBEM Tournaments held over at run5/SSG then you really are missing out.

Incidently we have just announced the first PBEM Tournament for BiN - so head over and register for play:

www.ssg.com.au and then select the Discussion Link to the Run5 discussion forums, and check out the PBEM forum.

.. something tells me this game isnt too far away from release guys..
