2Alby
These are two self-propelled installations! SU-57 (ZIS-30) it has been created on the basis of easy tractor Komsomolets. Arms of 57-mm instrument ZIS-2. SU-37 it is the experimental machine, it has been let out in the single copy!! It has been created on the basis of tank T-26.

Alby -> RE: Russian Su37 Su57 (8/27/2004 3:26:40 PM)

Thanks for replies
I seem to recall someone wanting the 37 replaced by the 57 maybe??
because the 37 was never used or something to that effect.
the person in question kept bringing this up with each update to the oobs
wish I could remember!!![:@]

I am sorry, but I have made a mistake! ((
SU-57 I have by mistake accepted for ZIS-30. Actually SU-57 it is armored troop-carrier M3 which body it has been established by 57-mm English a down. Initially this machine intended for the British and American armies. 962 machines from which 650 have been sent in the USSR have been let out. The others have been altered back in armored troop-carriers.

Unfortunately SU-37 continues to remain in game (SU-57 in Rus OBB appears in 1944!

Alby -> RE: Russian Su37 Su57 (8/30/2004 12:17:26 AM)

so the 37 should not be in the game???
I need some details LOL[:D]

maybe it wasnt the 57 I was thinking of that the person I cant remember wanted in the game??????????????
maybe it was SU 45

Kevin Duguay maybe that was the guy!!!??

Kevin E. Duguay -> RE: Russian Su37 Su57 (8/30/2004 8:02:06 PM)

Yes Alby, it was me.

The SU-37 SPG (Not the AA vehicle) was strictly experimental. From the info I have it was based on the T-27 tankette.

The SU-45 should replace the SU-37. This vehicle was based on ST-3 and STS-5 artillery tractors. Both versions looked and performed almost identically. The 45mm gun was mounted at the rear of the vehicle and the vehicle itself was fully armored. It had a top speed of 25 KPH. About 100 of these vehicles were delivered from the Kharkov Tractor Works. These vehicles began to appear durring the Early summer of 1941 battles. They were all destroyed by the end of 1941.

This vehicle is in the Russian OOB in Panxer Leo's HtH version. It is unit 154. He also has a good looking Icon to go with it. If you look through the encyclopedia Leo has named his vehicle "Na Ispug".

I mentioned this about 3 or 4 years ago but got little responce. Apparently Leo listened. [;)]

Thank you sir!!

Definitely Su-37 in game should not be and it is very a pity that she still in game is present! As to so-called Su-45, it not that other as a tractor with the hinged reservation and the armed 45-mm a gun and machine guns. They were issued at factories and workshops of Odessa and Sevastopol. They are known more as " Odessa the tank ", and soldiers at times named them "Na Ispug"))

Voriax -> RE: Russian Su37 Su57 (8/31/2004 10:22:52 AM)

Are you sure about this SU-45? I have a book with pic of it and it is definitely different than the Odessa tank. Komsomolets chassis which is quite different than the one in the odessa tank.

On the chassis of easy tractor Komsomolets self-propelled installation ZIS-30 armed by the 57-mm gun ZIS-2 has been created! And SU-45 have been created on the basis of tractors Stalinets, STZ-3 and other tractors.

Kevin E. Duguay -> RE: Russian Su37 Su57 (9/3/2004 2:03:29 AM)

Another source says that the Komsomolets tractor was used for the basis of the SU-45. The other tractors were used locally to produce what became known as the Odessa tanks.

I know about ZIS-30 an base Komsomolets . The base of the given easy tractor did not presume to hang up on him armored sheets. On high-grate tractor Stalinets the reservation was hung 15-20 mm.

Kevin E. Duguay -> RE: Russian Su37 Su57 (9/5/2004 12:17:08 PM)

Great photo BEER!! Look at the grill on the front of the vehicle. This is not a Komsomolets tractor, but some other artillery tractor conversion. Also, this is not an Odessa tank. It is a picture of an SU-45 missing the front grill plate and tracks. When the Finns attacked in 1941 some of these vehicles were used to defend Russia.[;)]
Your armor basis is correct!![:)]

First of the placed photos is 57-mm self-propelled installation on the basis of easy artillery conveyor Komsomolets!! It is installation carried name ZIS-30. The second photo also is that " Odessa the tank " which, at you in the West, name SU-45.
