Wildhack -> ground units march orders being cancelled? (8/27/2004 8:55:44 AM)

I know I'm missing something here or you guys would be screaming bloody murder, but I have first done a search on this question before asking it.

Turn A: My light Aussie division has marched 49 miles toward the empty hex between Port Moresby and Buna (Buna is Jap occupied, but no Jap Troops are apparently adjacent to any other hex side), and my large American division is just completing unloading safely in Port Moresby (along with a good amount of supplies).

Next Turn: Now the Aussie division's move has been cancelled (losing all those miles, arghh!), and trying to move either division toward this still empty hex is not being allowed - I.E. the move order confirmed message is displayed on the move map, but no order is later being registered in the unit information window.

Note: This is playing the South Pacific scenario, v1.21

Well...just so nobody wastes their time replying. I reloaded from a save and am back in business. Everything is working fine.

This could have been some kind of a glitch, but my guess is:

1)I miselected the moving unit and gave it a new movement order (wiping out its movement already completed), and

2) I didn't have the op points to plot any new moves with either of these units (the American troops had just finished landing, and the Aussies had just aborted a move in progress)?

I've never run across this one before. [&:] If the problem comes up again, please try and get a save just before the problem happens. Glad to hear that its working now. [:D]
