But I respectfully disagree. Yes they took their own time to make SPWAW. Just as the people who did the same with SPWW2. But if there is a problem with a game, real or perceived, shouldn't someone bring it to light? How is keeping quiet going to get anything fixed? How is keeping quiet going to bring to attention any bugs or OB problems? Do you think SPWAW would be what it is today if people didn't speak out and point out what they thought was right or wrong about it? Heck, that's why it even exists. Because someone thought the SP series could be better. I think, at least I hope, that the people who gave all their free time remaking the SP games appreciate feedback without having to drop their drawers so someone can kiss their collective arses. They have been thanked and given uncountable kudos, both on this forum, in print and on various prominent gaming sites. I've even sung their praise. But at the same time if there was something wrong with the game I've also done some singing about that. And I don't feel the least bit embarrased or ashamed about it just as I didn't feel that way when I praised. So, once again and truthfully from the heart, job well done guys, but there's this routine in the game...

See my response to the other thread...we appreciate bug reports, but folks have to understand when we say its not going to get fixed until Combat Leader takes SP:WaW's place (with its new posse of bugs and disagreements... ). it ain't...

Like Paul said... Me, I'm not against people reporting "trouble", I'm just not overly fond of the associated petulant whining that comes with a lot of reports. Maybe I'm one of the lucky few. I've been playing since original Steel Panthers and I just cant get over how much has been given to me for so little by so few for so many. And I am not including any comments I have ever made for or against Steel Panthers (nor am I willing to stooping to calling most "bug" reports part of all the hard work). My contributions vis a vis its design have always been to me, just supportive praise. Recently my Mega Campaign cd arrived (Lost Victories). It wouldnt install the Lost Victories softwareb initially just the version 7 Game files. Did I rush here with a "bug" report? Nope. I realised that its not always my Steel Panthers at fault (generally its hardly ever Steel Panthers fault). So I checked. Sure enough it was my OS at fault. So I clicked on the compatibility feature of XP Pro, told it to use Win 98 for the Set Up file, and it installed fine. Point being here, that I didnt waste time posting a message on the forum that was avoidable if I had accepted that sometimes my computer is at fault (and then thats not a bug , just a problem for me to deal with). Mega Campaign works fine Paul and its one of my best purchases in along time. I hope to see an equally long line of successes with Combat Leader. You have earned my continuing consumer report. Excellent product effort so far!
