Warspite** -> Pilot Replacements (8/28/2004 6:09:44 PM)

The Pilot Replacement lists never change in the game. I'm in 1944 and the Japanese still show 55 - 20, 75 - 10; the Allies still show 200 - 50, etc. According to the manual these should have changed, but they aren't, at least the display isn't. If the numbers have actually changed it would be nice to see them on the intelligence screen.
Now, the manual does mention pilot experience changes over time for the various sides, but doesn't make it clear if the number of pilots changes. Does anyone know if this is the case? The Americans were able to increase the numbers of pilots they graduated each month at the same time they increased the rigor of their courses and the number of hours of flight time. It doesn't look like the game does this, but I'm not sure. The Japanese experience went down, but this was to increase the number of pilots they could send to the field, I don't think the game does this at all. Again does any one know if the number of pilots increases each month over time, and it would be nice if the display changed to reflect this?

the way i understand it is....you get however many pilots you need.....just that any over the amount of "trained" pilots are untrained....ie they come in at reduced level of exp.....right off hand i believe it is either 50 or 30 exp

Intel Screen -> Pilot Replacements is only relevant when Accept Replacements is used.

The table in the manual determines what exp level pilots in reinforcement air groups get.

They are separate "pools".
