I think the difference is that an app such as Notepad or Excel doesn't really do much except take up memory space until you start using it. If you can cool switch out of WAW and use the other apps, fine, my experience has been that one or two Alt + Tab and back to an active WAW scenario is asking for trouble. I guess like a lot of things, it is possible to run other apps while WAW is active - I don't do it, especially if I have been using the Editor. If ya'll can do it with no problems, more power to yez. No question, though, what happened when I tried to do this with the cable "modem" running. WAW locked up the system after a minute or two of active play. This is quite likely due to using USB for cable connection - does the first initial in USB stand for "Useless"? Bing
